Let's Get Chemotional
Let’s Get Chemotional for a Cause! Our names are Charliene Millburg and Rachel Treece and we are just two besties trying to make a difference! Stamp Out Cancer has a larger meaning to us; just like many, cancer has hit too close to home. Rachel’s son, Declan, was diagnosed with b-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia when he was only two years old. MCCA stepped up in a time of need and we are thrilled to be able to give back!
Charliene lives in Raymond with her husband, Brian, and two daughters, Hadleigh and Bradee. She is employed as a court advocate for Sojourn Shelter & Services and spends her free time running her daughter Hadleigh, the 2024 Little Miss Pana Tri-County Fair Queen, around to local pageants and volunteering any chance she can!
Rachel lives in Raymond with her husband, Sean, and their children Keaton, Bentley, Declan, and Griffin. She is employed at Raymond Post Office and when she is not at work or running her kiddos to their practices and games, she is very busy spreading awareness about childhood cancer!
We are so excited for five weeks of FUN for a cause and we hope to see you all at our events!

Cowell at the Moon

We are Greg and Marissa Cowell. We are transplants to Hillsboro. Greg is originally from Red Bud, Illinois, and Marissa from Brighton, Illinois. We met and graduated from Illinois College. Greg entered the State Police Academy in 1999, then he joined Marissa in Chicago while she completed her Physician Assistant Degree from Midwestern University in 2001. We moved back to the area shortly after, but we did not call Hillsboro our home until 2010. This is when we discovered Stamp Out Cancer events, and we loved the way this community came together to support and raise money for a cause that has touched our lives and so many others. Ultimately, this sense of community, along with the lake and small town feel, is what we were looking to call our home. We are truly excited to partner with our local businesses, work closely with our troop of friends/family, and make memories while supporting a cause that will help so many others. It is truly a win/win situation. We cannot wait to FUNdraise with all of you to make this 5 weeks—LEGENDARY! We do this to honor all of those we have lost: Suzanne McKee, John Stuber, Rhiannon Robinson, Kenny Freer, and all the patients I cannot name. We also want to recognize those who have survived and support those who are still fighting cancer. Please help us take this Stamp Out Cancer 2025 to the moon.

Super Spencer Squad

Team Super Spencer Squad! We are Michael and Caitlin Spencer and with our four kids, Summer, Jackson, Sawyer and Mikey, we truly are a squad! Caitlin grew up in Nokomis and Michael is from Morrisonville. Michael owns HD Exteriors and Caitlin is a teacher at North Elementary School in Nokomis. We spend the majority of our spare time running between the kids’ different activities. We’ve wanted to join in on the Stamp Out Cancer fun for years and we (Caitlin) finally decided there’s no better time than now. Meeting with the SOC crew and the other teams we instantly knew we made the right choice. While neither of us has ever had to face a cancer diagnosis, we have been in the role of supporting people we care about as they battle cancer. While I am grateful for the ways our family was able to be there for the people we care about it made us wonder and worry about the people who don’t have the support systems we do. We are so excited to raise money to make sure that all of Montgomery County continues have a support system no matter what. We are grateful to have the opportunity to serve this cause in honor of the ones we’ve lost as we continue to celebrate the ones who have won while we work to support those still fighting.
